Earlier this week I bought the CD “My Everything” by Ariana Grande. This is
her 2nd album she has recorded and in my opinion is way better than
her first. It became the number #1 album on iTunes in the first 2 minutes it was
released, and is still number #1 now. I think the best songs that are on the
album are, “Break Your Heart Right Back", "Love Me Harder", "One Last Time", and "Be
My Baby.” All of these songs really capture her voice quality, and the lyrics
are really well written.
In the song “Only 1,” she does some
really difficult runs, which really shows her voice quality. The other thing I really like is how the
background beats don’t over power her voice, like most songs do today. I
recommend this album to anyone looking for new music to listen to, or really
likes a singer with truly a great voice.
I do think this album is way better than her first. I like the way she experiments more. I feel like the first album was all one song and now she can experiment with her style now that she has her unique sound down. I liked that she had more guests to help her with that. “One Last Time”, “Why Try”, and “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart” are my favorites. I think they stay true to her original style, but are improved, and they capture her unique voice well.
